For the beginner scuba diver

If you are new to scuba diving and would like to get started, this book is a great choice. The author starts out by describing what equipement you need with detailed information about the features to look out for. He also make a good case of when you should buy your own equipment or if you should rent it. There is a chapter on the dangers of scuba diving. The most interesting part for me was the certification you need in order to scuba dive and the major certification you should consider first. Scuba diving is quite an investment in time and money, so it's a good idea to define your needs first. The author presents also all the options of chosing a scuba diver carreers which was interesting. Well worth reading for the beginner scuba diver.

This book delivers on it's promise

The cover may look unprofessional but the content is gold. The book delivers exactly what it promises - great information for someone who is just beginning to get into the scuba-diving scene. Practical information on what equipment is needed, costs, possible health considerations and more so you can make an informed decision on if scuba-diving is right for you AND so you can go into the scuba-diving shops and ask informed questions, to make sure you're starting on the right foot.
If you've already been scuba-diving a few times, there's probably not much here that will be new to you but for someone like myself - who's always wanted to scuba-dive but hasn't yet, this information is well worth the small cost investment.

I have always been fascinated by the underwater creatures and some of my favorite shows on discovery are about this amazing life that exists under the sea. I had a recent stint with scuba diving and i must say the experience was exhiliratinug. Ever since I have been looking at my next opportunity for scuba diving. I have decided to do it more often and therefore was looking more some good reliable information for a newbie. This book tells you everything you want to know about scuba diving, the equipment that you will require, the purpose of each of this equipment, what are the features you should be looking for before buying this equipment and why you should be looking for these features. The book is superbly written and effectively fulfills its purpose of providing reliable information for newbies to scuba diving !
